Background tiles can add a real punch to card making. Come learn how to hand color these amazing paper tiles, stamp them and add a shiny finish for an incredible background.

This class is fun, fun, fun. Beaded pens make great, economical gifts. Come learn how to make them the three different styles: beaded inside, outside or covering artwork / decorative papers. Every student makes three pens in class.

Handmade Paper

Handmade paper has many uses in all kinds of crafts and it’s so easy to make your own. We’ll discuss ways to create a papermaking deckle at home, make plain papers and papers with inclusions.

Precious Metal Clay Fold-Over Pendant

Learn the basics of PMC : working with 99% silver clay, texturizing, sanding bone dry pieces, work hardening and firing. Students make one silver pendant in class with the option of adding a fire in place stone to their finished piece.

Fun with Filigree

Create open weave 99% silver jewelry using syringe Precious Metal Clay. Students will create a base image and use that to create a filigree jewelry focal. We will also experiment with cork clay and make a filigree bead

Found Object Focal Bead

Bring a leaf or a piece of handmade paper to class and turn it into a stunning 99% silver jewelry finding. Learn the basics of working with Precious Metal Clay Slip. Student will make one jewelry piece in class.

Hollow Core Beads

This is a great way to make larger Precious Metal Clay beads without using so much clay. We address sculpting with cork clay, working with PMC in clay and syringe form and then make a bead from PMC slip, fire, work harden and polish their piece.

Glass Fusing for Jewelry Learn the basics of fusing glass for jewelry. You’ll learn about the different types of glass and how they expand and contract in the kiln. You’ll work on two jewelry pendants or one pendant and two earring pieces as you learn how to cut and arrange glass for fusing. Class meets in two sessions. One long work session and a shorter follow-up session to learn about cleaning and filing rough edges  
Fused Glass & PMC Pendant    
Fused Jewelry - Fisinshing Techniques Learn ways to finish of fused cabochons. From adding a bail, creating a bracelet or creating wire wrap cages and bails, Holly covers a variety of techniques. Students should bring purchased fused glass pieces or make their own in one of Holly's classes.

Ideally, this class would be scheduled on day two of Holly's Glass fusing class.
